"Hey boy [da-dun dun dun da-duh] why you didn't call me?"I've embedded a second song on the lower right part of this page. It's one KT found, of course. (She's the finder.) And it's catchy and includes a multiple-choice list in the lyrics, which we totally dig. Also of course. (We've sung it so much around the house that Michelle can sing it too, even though she's never actually heard the recording.)
"A. You're gay. B. You've got a girlfriend. C. You kinda thought I came on too strong or D. I just wasn't your thing, no ring."I dedicate this song to, among others, Graham D., seat 11D, exit row, JetBlue, JFK to SFO.
"It's not a lot that I want, just some talking. Really you've just injured my pride."Which, in the case of Graham D., isn't necessarily true. (Has my pride been injured? I'm going with no. Sources say no.) But it does make for a great song lyric and, ergo, a totally singable song.
(Note: I'm wondering: Do boys like this song as much as the girls I know do?)
Added note on April 5: Graham D. called me today. FYI. :)

Sarah,
Thank you for introducing me to your my new favorite song (or at least the next song I'll download on itunes). So catchy and so true. Like you mentioned I love the multiple-choice list in the lyrics and the explanations that all her friends give. We've definitely all been there.
my brother Gordon totally digs it. Not sure if he's a good representation of the male population, tho... =)
Hi. I saw a link to "Sarah" on Petra's blog and thought, hey, I bet that's *Sarah*. And it was. So hi. (We were in a ward together, and you lived in that house and started that book group.) I can't remember if you ever knew my online moniker. I think yes, but at any rate, I'm shooting you off an email at what was your hotmail address a few years ago.
Hmm. The email address I have for you no longer works. I'd love to talk to you. If you're interested, you can ping me at ambrosia dot ananas (at) gmail. Cheers.
Hooray for Graham.
And somewhere out there in the wide wide world of electronic folk is the boy in question probably responding in his own angsty song: "Hey Girl... Why You Gave Me the Wrong Number?"
As for Graham, why he didn't call you earlier? And does he know about this blog post?
Steve, 2. he doesn't yet know about this post (that I know of...) and 1. that's a song I would love to hear. You should write it. And record it. And e-send it to me.
:)
